Pet Jewellery

Pet jewellery, especially in the USA, has become very popular amongst pet owners. It is now the latest craze to spoil you pet and ‘ice’ it out with different types of jewellery, ranging from charm necklaces to diamond anklets. It is reported that Americans alone spent over $32.4 billion on their household pets during 2006.

The marketing slant that is used for such an extravagant trend is that ‘if you love your pet, buy them something that shows how proud you are of them’. Obviously, the most common jewellery bought is for cats and dogs and companies are even copyrighting their jewellery so that they can have unique designs available for purchase. This is to stop other jewellers copying their style and saturating the pet jewellery market.

Gold, silver, diamonds and crystals are just some of the materials and elements, which are currently being used for this type of jewellery.
